Ōhori X Maizuru

Ōhori Park (大濠公園 Ōhori-kōen) is a park in Chūō-ku, Fukuoka, Japan and a registered Place of Scenic Beauty.
The name Ōhori means a large moat and it derives from the fact that Kuroda Nagamasa, the old lord of Fukuoka, reclaimed the northern half of a cove or an inlet called Kusagae which was facing Hakata Bay and made a moat for the Fukuoka Castle (source: wikipedia).
For me, Ohori park is more likely a backyard, because the location is pretty close to my apartment, i can go there anytime soon by walk or just couples of steps if i said ha ha ha.
So far, Ohori park is my favorite park of all park that i have been., because not only this park is huge, but it connecting to Maizuru Park where a historical castle hidden between those trees, the castle known as Fukuoka Castle.
The ruins of Fukuoka Castle (福岡城跡, Fukuokajōato) are located in the middle of the city in Maizuru Park, named after the castle's alias, Maizuru Castle. During the Edo Period (1603-1867), Fukuoka Castle used to be the largest castle on Kyushu, but it was almost completely torn down after the Meiji Restoration as an unwanted symbol of the feudal past. Nowadays only ruined walls and a few turrets remain, and the park attracts visitors with walking trails and a few lookout points. (source: Japan Guide)
